Nellingen Barracks 1957-1963

like to show you fantastic Photographs of the 168th Engineer
Battalion that was stationed at Nellingen Barracks, Germany, from 1957 to
1963. My Friend, Bob Kamenski from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania gave it to me.
Bob today now is in the Age of 69 Years, married since 45 Years, he has 4
Childrens and 5 grandchildrens. Bob served with the 168th from
1957 to 1960. He worked within the Army as an Jeep Driver and as an Radio
Operator, droved many, many hundreds Miles in West Germany. Bob and some of
his Comrades used to hangout in some Guesthouses like the “La Paloma” just
outside the Maingate or the “Postplatz” in Stuttgart and “Bürgermeister
Wagner” in Esslingen. Bobs Hobby is to work on Wood Carving. He just loved it
in Germany. Thanks Bob for the beautyfull Pictures of Nellingen Kaserne, wish

Germany, in August 2007 Nachfolgend möchte ich Ihnen tolle Bilder
vorstellen von dem 168th Engineer Battalion. Die Einheit war in den Nellingen
Barracks von 1957 bis 1963 stationiert. Mein Freund Bob Kamenski hat mir
diese Fotos zur Verfügung gestellt. Er wohnt heute in Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania, ist 69 Jahre alt, seit 45 Jahren verheiratet, hat 4 Kinder und
5 Enkel. Er diente in dieser Einheit als Jeep Fahrer und als Radio Operator.
Bob fuhr viele hundert Kilometer in Deutschland. Bob und seine Kameraden kehrten
in viele Gasthäuser ein wie zum Beispiel das La Paloma gegenüber der
Hauptwache, dem Bürgermeister Wagner in Esslingen oder dem Gasthaus Postplatz
in Stuttgart. Bobs Hobby ist mit Holz zu arbeiten. Er genoss die Zeit in
Germany sehr. Danke Bob für die tollen Fotos, wünsche dir und
